Ebenezer Russell was from New England, and settled on the farm now owned by Warren Burch. Of his children, William Settled on the homestead; another son, Dr Russell, of Cooperstown; a daughter Mrs Isaac Powers. Ebenezer Russell was a distinguished public man of early times, an officer and representative enjoying the confidence of the people for a long series of years.

Russell, Ebenezer (c.1746-1836) — of Washington County, N.Y. Born about 1746. Member of New York state assembly, 1777-78, 1783-84, 1812-13 (Charlotte County 1777-78, 1783-84, Washington County 1812-13); member of New York state senate Eastern District, 1778-79, 1780-81, 1784-88, 1795-1803. Died December 5, 1836 (age about 90 years). Interment at Salem Cemetery, Salem, N.Y.

Ebenezer Russell, b. 1747, married to Elizabeth Stork NOT Elizabeth Stark.Elizabeth Stork was born 01 Sep 1747 in Branford, New Haven, CT and died 27 Jun 1832 in Salem, Washington, New York.She was the daughter of Moses Stork, b. 23 Jun 1723 in Scarborough, Yorkshire, England, and d. abt. 1792.Moses was married to Deborah Rogers, b. 06 Jan 1724/25 in Great Neck, New London, CT and died abt. 1754.Here is my footnote for Moses Stork: Moses Stork by 1746 had come from Scarborough, York Co., England to New London, CT.From there he first went to Branford, Ct and later to Chenango Co., NY.See the book Stork "The Genealogy of the Descendants of Moses Stork, Scarborough, Yorkshire, Old England."Compiled by Charles A. Captain of a commercial vessel. He married (1) on 6 Dec. 1746 at New London, CT, Deborah Rogers, who was the daughter of John Rogers, and died between May 1751 and Sept. 1755; (2) on 4 Sept. 1755 at Branford, CT, Abigail Brown, by Rev. Philemon Robbins, who was probably the widow of Joseph Brown, Jr. and daughter of Noah Rogers of Branford; she died 11 Dec. 1758 at Branford.
