When Judith married Eli Whitney, her step-son, Eli Whitney, Jr., was 13 years old. He went on to invent the cotton gin.

Sometime after her 2nd husband died, she moved to Townshend, VT to be near her daughter Judith (Hazelton) Brigham, wife of Ebenezer Brigham. They are also buried in Wiswell Cemetery, Townshend, Windham County, Vermont.
