First husband was Jefferson Bullock (1829-1865), m. 1857 and had four children.
Second husband was Samuel Hughes; mother of Bettie, Mollie, Josephine and Thomas G. Hughes who died in 1877.

Mrs. Julia Hughes died suddenly at her home near Igo, King George county, Saturday night. She was returning from a visit to a nearby neighbor and she fell in the road. She was picked up and carried to her house, but soon died. Her remains were interred at Potomac Baptist church Monday afternoon. The deceased was past 70 years old.
