AGED RESIDENT OF ENNIS DIED MONDAY BURIAL THERE TODAY
Ennis, Texas, June 30, --Mrs. Julia Jolesch, 80 years old, a native of Prague, Austria, and a resident of Ennis since 1875, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. Raphael, here at 4:10 o’clock Monday morning. She was the widow of W. Jolesch, founder of the firm of W. Jolesch’s Sons & Co., here and of Jolesch & Chaska of Waxahachie, both firms being fifty years old. Mr. Jolesch died here June 6, 1901. She is survived by three sons, Sam of New York, Ike of Dallas, and Joe Jolesch of Ennis, and a daughter, Mrs. E. Raphael of Ennis, in whose home she died.
The funeral took place from the Raphael home here at 9 a.m. Tuesday, conducted by Rabbi Henry Cohen of Galveston and the Rev. H. S. Springall of Ennis, with burial in the Hebrew Cemetery here, the following being pallbearers: Louis Cerf, Sam G. Eppstein, Dallas; G. G. Dunkerley, Lee Quaite, Waxahachie; Fred A. Newton, Rupert Blakey, M. R. Mann, Ed Crumley.
Mrs. Jolesch was well known to many Corsicana people and had a host of friends in this city. The Jolesch-Thomas Shoe Company of this city was closed during the entire morning today out of respect to the memory of the deceased lady.
