Juliana and her daughter Paz were killed by Paz' husband Juan Luna in Paris; he was acquitted on grounds of 'temporary insanity'.

Juliana is said to have given the lamp to Jose Rizal, which was used to smuggle out Rizal's 'Mi Ultimo Adios' to his sisters.
