He was the son of Lanier Brewer Jr. He was born in Moore County, NC in 1794 He died ABT 1856-59 probably in Wayne County, TN Julius had one unknown son prior to his marriage to Mrs. Margaret Gist on Oct. 05, 1820 in Lawrence, Co., TN Margaret also had one child, a daughter, before her marriage to Julius. Margaret died from childbirth complications with their last daughter( #3)Nancy.

(#2) Hulda Jane Brewer b. 2/15/1832 in Wayne County, Tn d. 12/8/1915 in Wayne County, Tn, Married (1) Henry Yow in 1849 in Tishomingo County, Ms. Henry died in Ms in 1854 and Hulda Jane then married William Newton Hollis of Wayne County, TN. in 1855
(#3) Nancy Brewer b 11/13/1837 d. 5/31/1916 marriage (1) William T Martin in Tishomingo County 1856 marriage (2) Alexander Kimbrell in Lawrence, Co., TN
In the 1840 census of Marion County, Al he is mistakenly listed as Jules Brown ( transcription error ) instead of Julius Brewer.
In 1841 he had purchased land in Marion, Co., AL ( Bull Mountain area )
In 1849, Julius relocated to Tishomingo, Co., MS. Julius married Nancy Unknown around 1838. They had 6 children. Delila b. 1840, Mary b. 1842, Daniel b. 1843, David Crockett b. 1844, Alexander b. 1846 , and Rial ( William Riley ) b. 1848 Brewer.
In 1855, Julius and family return to Wayne County, Tn. Julius died 1855-59, probably in Wayne County, Tn. He is buried unknown ( possibly in Brewer Cemetery, which is also referred to as Bucksnort, on Bucksnort Cemetery Road, between Last Butler Rd and Middle Butler Rd in Wayne County, TN in an unmarked grave.
