About Julius Hewes, I

Julius married first married Hannah Annis in 1789. After Hannah died in 1799, he married her sister Betsey Ann Annis in Dec. 1799. He had three children by his first wife including Elihu Hewes (1794-1879). He had ten children with his second wife.

He is remembered as a persevering energetic man, honorable and upright in all his dealings, a good husband, a kind and loving father, a good neighbor and citizen.

He is buried in the graveyard at Hermon Pond.
