Julius Wolcott Humphrey

148. i. Frances, was born January 17, 1841. She married, Sept. 14, 1871, Marcus C. Humphrey, of Lake City, Minn. They first lived at Lake City, where he was a merchant, but now he is a commercial traveler, and resides at Marshall, Minn.

They have two children:

1. Julius Wolcott.—Born September 30, 1873.

2. James Lewis.—Born May 26, 1881.

DIES IN CHICAGO

Julius W. Humphrey who was born in Lake City, September 30, 1873, died suddenly in Chicago, June 21, from heart failure. The remains were brot (sic) here for burial and services were held in Fitcher’s Chapel Wednesday. Rev. W. A. Mulder, officiating. Burial was made in the family lot in the Lakewood cemetery, where the local Masonic Lodge was in charge with Knights Templars escort.

Mr. Humphrey left Lake city when a young boy. He was prominent in Life Insurance circles having been with the New York Mutual Life Insurance Company for many years. The past eight or ten years he had an office at Watertown, S. Dak., where he was loan manager for the company.
