Justina Clindora Kennard

Justina C. Baldwin, dau. of Ransom Baldwin and Sarah Twiss, was b. in Meriden, New Haven Co., Connecticut in 1843. She married, on Oct. 20, 1875, in Meriden, New Haven Co., Conn., with BENJAMIN CHAMPION KENNARD, son of Benjamin Kennard and Lydia Amorette Kneeland. He was b. in Cambridge, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts on May. 31, 1849. He was a bookkeeper, sec/treas of the Edward Miller Company, held numerous public offices in Meriden. He died in Meriden on Oct. 16, 1920; she died there in 1925. Both buried at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Meriden, New Haven Co., Connecticut.

Children were: Helen M. (1876) and Benjamin Leighton (1878)

• 1870 census: Justine (25), b. Conn; in Meriden, Conn w parents Ransom Baldwin (77, b. Conn) and mother Sarah (70, b. Conn). Ranson is a farmer. They reside next to her brother Ransom (34, b. Conn; farmer) and wife Mary (32, b. Conn) and dau. Flora (3) and R.L. (6m). He is also a farmer.
• 1880 census: Justinn C. (36, b. Conn); in Meriden, Conn. w husband B.C. Kennard (31, b Mass) and ch. Hellen M. (4), and Benj. L. (2).
• 1900 census: Justinen L. (58, b. Conn; in Meriden, Conn. w husband Benjamin (52, b. Mass) and ch. Helen M. (24) and B. Leighton (22).
