Last Sunday night Knute Gigstad retired for the night in about his usual health. About 3:30 in the night George
Gigstad heard his child cry and getting up found his father lying dead on the floor. It was said to be a case of
heart failure. On account of the absence of the minister, the interment and funeral services did not occur until the
19th. The deceased was born in Norway about 72 years ago and settled in Goodhue county about 32 years since.
For the past 20 years he has been a resident of Lyon county. He was known as a quiet, industrious citizen and did
all he could to make life pleasant for those whom he associated. --- Cottonwood Current.
