About Karl (Karp) Ristikivi
Karl Ristikivi (16 October 1912 in Saulepi Parish, Lääne County (now Lääneranna Parish, Pärnu County) – 19 July 1977 in Solna, Stockholm County) was an Estonian writer. He is among the best Estonian writers for his historical novels. Although he published only one collection of poems during his life, The Journey of a Man or A Man's Journey (in Estonian Inimese teekond, first published in 1972 in Lund), he is considered among the best Estonian poets beside Gustav Suits and Heiti Talvik.[citation needed]
