Aunt florence told me she moved to Bayville Switzerland and had a daughter named Julie. she said she went to visit them in Switzerland.
I was looking online under name lists and it said that Lena is a German version of a nickname of the name Helena. Could her name be helena? This would make some sense as my own grandmothers original first name was Helena. She would have been named for her aunt. In fact their were many examples of naming the children after living relatives such as Frederick (first marriage) daughter Freda (mina hermann marriage) Freddy (Frederick)
Mina named her one daughter Myna. Why not Helena for Helena?
