Brief Life History of Katharina Zimmermann (Knobel)
When Katharina Knobel was born on 29 May 1771, in Schwändi, Glarus Süd, Glarus, Switzerland, her father, Abraham Knobel, was 23 and her mother, Anna Maria Jenny, was 22. She married Heinrich Zimmermann on 5 August 1792, in Schwanden, Glarus Süd, Glarus, Switzerland. They were the parents of at least 8 sons and 5 daughters. She died on 16 January 1814, in her hometown, at the age of 42.
