    Katherine Evelyn Constance Petty-FitzMaurice, Lady Nairne was born on 22 June 1912.2 She was the daughter of Henry William Edmund Petty-FitzMaurice, 6th Marquess of Lansdowne and Elizabeth Caroline Hope.1 She married Edward Clive Bigham, 3rd Viscount Mersey, son of Charles Clive Bigham, 2nd Viscount Mersey and Mary Gertrude Seymour, on 24 July 1933.2 She died on 20 October 1995 at age 83.2

    Her married name became Bigham. She succeeded as the 12th Lady Nairne [S., 1681] on 20 August 1944, suo jure.1 As a result of her marriage, Katherine Evelyn Constance Petty-FitzMaurice, Lady Nairne was styled as Viscountess Mersey on 20 November 1956.
