Katharine Boswell

The Laird of Fordell, married secondly-contract dated February 1. her t ocher 1000 . Katherine was the daughter of David Boswell of Glasmont, County Fife, and Elizabeth his wife, daughter of Sir John Moncrieff of that Ilk, County Perth. Who died in September, 1599.

They had 3 sons:

• 1st - David of Finmount
• 2nd- Mr. Robert of Pitkenny, County Fife
• 3rd- George, one of the witnesses to his father's will in 1602.

Daughters

• 2. Nicholas, married Patrick Grserne of Inchbrakie, county Perth,brother of George, Bishop of Orkney, and great-grandson of the first Earl of Montrose.
• 3. Isabel, married, 1st July 1598, with a tocher of 5000 merks, Sir Patrick Murray, married 2nd to SirGeorge Erskine of Innerteil, county Fife, the alchemist.
• 4. Elizabeth, married, in or before 1591, Andrew Lundin of Conland,
• 5. Janet Brown, married, in 1576, her cousin, Alexander Gaw of Maw, and had issue.
