Biography
Katherine was married to Matthew Sinderland[1] in Massachusetts about 1639. Matthew was a sailor, and he died about 1642, leaving no issue. Katherine then married William Salmon (1613-1657) about 1643. Katherine died about 1650 and William remarried to (2nd) Sarah, daughter of Barnabas Horton of Southold.[2]

Disputed Origins
Because a guardianship document by William Salmon's children refers to Thomas Curtis as William's "brother-in-law", some sources believe Katherine was a sister of Thomas. However, others hypothesize that Thomas' wife, Elizabeth, was instead a sister of William. Or, Katherine and Elizabeth could have been sisters from a third family.
