MRS. JOHN B. SHERMAN SR.
Mrs. Katherine B. Sherman, 80, died Friday, March 20, at the Mary McClellan hospital, Cambridge, after a long illness. Funeral services were held Monday at the Embury Methodist church in Cambridge with the Rev. Walter Parr, pastor, officiating. Interment was in Woodlands cemetery, Cambridge.
Born in West Arlington, Vt., she was the daughter of Fred and Rosetta Phillips Decker. She was the wife of the late John B. Sherman Sr. She was a member of the Embury Methodist church and the W.S.C.S. of the church.
Survivors include one son, John B. Sherman Jr. of Homer; one daughter, Jean Ashton of Cambridge; three sisters, Clara and Mildred Decker, both of Cambridge and Mary Montgomery of Tuxedo Park; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
