Kathleen Manson-Bower-Cavender (Maddox)

For a period after his birth, his mother was married to a laborer named William Manson, whose last name the boy was given. The boy's biological father appears to have been a "Colonel Scott", against whom Kathleen Maddox filed a bastardy suit that resulted in an agreed judgment in 1937.:136-7 Possibly, the boy never really knew him.:136-7

Her full name was Ada Kathleen, but she is buried under the name Kathleen as she went by her middle name. She married Gale Bower in 1965 in Spokane.

Allegedly briefly married at one time to Find A Grave Memorial# 3415716. They had no children. Only documented marriage she had was to Gale Bower.

She moved from California to Washington sometime in the early 1960's to be closer to him while he served time in jail there. She married Gale Bower in 1965 in Spokane. In a 1971 interview she stated she was 5 years into her third marriage. She said she lived a quiet life with her husband Gale, her nine year old daughter and very few close friends.
