Kathryn "Katie" Lavina Degenhardt, 98, of 1150 South 15th Street, Prairie du Chien, passed away Saturday April 20, 1985 at the Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital. She was born April 2, 1887 in Grant County to Michael and Mary Ann (Mulrooney) Elliott. She married Louis Jacob Degenhardt in Wauzeka, WI. They moved to Prairie du Chien in 1915. He passed away in 1966. She is survived by three sons, Bernard of De Forest; Louis and Ralph of Prairie du Chien; two daughters, Marion (Edward) Neisius and Kathryn (Mason) Evans; one sister Elizabeth "Lizzie" Grimm; 29 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services were at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church in Prairie du Chien. Burial will be in St. Lawrence O'Toole Cemetery near Mt. Hope.
