About Kathryn MacLean
La Tour, Kathryn "Kay" (Nee MacLean)
Died peacefully at home on Sunday, at the age of 73.
Wife of the late Theodore J. "Ted" La Tour.
Survived by children Theodore Jr. and Jean Marie.
Kay obtained a master's degree in remedial reading and was passionate about teaching the joy of reading. She started North Shore Reading Center in the early '80's, teaching Milwaukee's children to read and completed her career teaching inmates at the House of Correction.
She loved deeply and was deeply loved in return.
Interment will be private.
