About Katie E. Byler
FREDERICKSBURG — Katie E. Byler, 89, 7384 S. Carr Road, Fredericksburg, died peacefully at her home on Monday, Feb. 19, 2018, after a period of declining health.
She was born March 14, 1928, in Wayne County to the late Emanuel and Mattie (Miller) Troyer and married Solomon J. Byler on March 3, 1963. He preceded her in death on Jan. 15, 1998.
She was a member of the New Order Amish Church.
Surviving are her brother, Jacob (Martha) Troyer, and a sister, Amanda E. Troyer, both of the home; six nieces and a nephew; a stepson, Dan (Esther) Byler of Jeromesville; four step-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Malinda (Ammon) Wengerd, a step-grandson and five infant brothers and sisters.
Services will be Thursday, Feb. 22 at 9 a.m. at the Joe Miller residence, 7750 Weaver Road, Fredericksburg, with Bishop Ray Mast officiating. Burial will be in Troyer Cemetery, Salt Creek Township, Wayne County. Friends may call anytime at the Miller residence.
