Mrs. Katie H. Schaeffer

Boyertown, March 15 -- Mrs. Katie H. (Dotterer) Schaeffer, 78, widow of David Y. Schaeffer, died this morning at her home, 330 South Reading Ave., this borough. She was a native of District Township, a daughter of the late William and Priscilla (Heydt) Dotterer, was a member of St. John's (Hill) Reformed Church and of Manatawny Temple 33, Ladies of the Golden Eagle.

Her husband died 11 years ago. Surviving are these children: Mabel, wife of William Focht, Boyertown R.D. 1; Ella, wife of Harry Ackerman, this borough; William D., of Boyertown R.D. 1; Oscar, of Boyertown R.D. 2; Minnie, wife of Victor Angstadt, Stony Creek Mills, and Mrs. Florence Kutz, at home; 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; three brothers: Oscar and William Dotterer, both of New Hanover, and Oliver, of Boyertown R. D. 1; one sister, Bertha, wife of Morris Trace, Boyertown R.D. 1.

The funeral will take place from her residence on Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. Further services in Union Chapel, the Rev. John H. Herbster officiating. Burial in charge of the Schwenk Funeral home, will be made in Union Cemetery.
