Katrien Deysel (1952 – 2008)

Brief overview:

Katrien (56), and her husband At Deysel (60), were brutally tortured and murdered, on 12th April 2008, on their farm between Lichtenburg and Ottoshoop. Their bodies were discovered by a neighbour. At's body was found some distance from the house, his throat was slit. Katrien was found inside the house, she had been shot. The perpetrators also killed one of the couple's dogs and a parrot. They fled in the couple's pick-up truck which they crashed, and a neighbour saw the vehicle and reported it.
