Full Obituary:
Kenneth D. McClellan, 90, of Washington, died at 6 a.m. Sunday at Washington Nursing Center. He was born May 23, 1920, in Pike County, the son of Walter and Dora (Cain) McClellan.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving from 1942 to 1945, and worked at McCords until 1967. He was a member of the VFW and enjoyed being outdoors fishing and spending time with his wife of 67 years.
He is survived by his wife, Betty (Stafford) McClellan, whom he married Aug. 28, 1943, in Hanford, Calif.; two daughters, Judy (Terry) Boger and Kay Howell of Washington; a son, Craig (Lori) McClellan of Washington; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Velma Dodd Evans of Evansville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Keith McClellan; two brothers, Floyd and Elmer McClellan; and a sister, Pansey Garreston.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Gill Chapel, with the Rev. Marvin Cheek officiating. Burial will be at Bethel Cemetery with military rites by members of the Washington VFW and American Legion.
