Kenneth Young, Sr.

RICHMOND -- Kenneth Young Sr., 69, of the Langdon Road, died at his home on Friday, June 15, 2007.

He was born on January 9, 1938, the son of Vernon and Dorothy (Skelton) Young.

Ken was a hardworking man from childhood, right until two weeks before his death. He was employed at Etonic for 26 years while building his own business -- Young's Solid Waste. Although limited for the past year, he did what he could and he could still "direct."

He loved to travel and took great pride in caring for his home and family.

He loved his wife of 47 years, Martha E. (Temple) Young. Along with his wife, he is survived by his sons Ken Young Jr. and Jeffrey W. Young and his daughters Kammie L. Johnson and Holly L. Luber. He dearly loved his nine grandchildren and tried to stay close to them, creating great memories of "Grampy" and "Bubba." He is also survived by his siblings Shirley Yeaton, Larry Young, Jack Young, Laverne Smith and Gary Young and many nieces and nephews (he always enjoyed their visits).

Ken was predeceased by his sister Dorothy "Toots" Watson.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 23, at 4 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on Water St. in Brunswick.
