About Khagan Irbis of the Khazars
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irbis_(Khazar)
Irbis (fl. 650 or 652) was according to a number of Russian sources the founder of the Khazar Khaganate. The Khazars traced their origin to the Turkic Ashina clan in modern Mongolia.
Peter Golden notes that Chinese and Arabic reports are almost identical, making the connection a strong one, and conjectures that Khazar leader may have been Irbis Seguy, who lost power or was killed around 651.
Irbis is the name of the first khagan to rule over a unified Khazar Khaganate in the middle of the seventh century. Irbis is described as a scion of the Göktürk royal house, the Ashina, and specifically as a son or near kinsman of Tong Yabghu Khagan (Ziebel), a khagan of the Western Göktürks.
