About Kommerzienrat Hans Hopf
Kommerzienrat (Industrialist and commercial councilor); Magistratsrat (town councilor)
"In the magistrate Stefan Hopf's oldest son Hans came into his inheritance. He was also caretaker of municipal facilities until his death. In the war he was in charge of the city's supply of food and potatoes. He was co-founder of the city's public library and reading rooms in 1898. The largest collection of Nuremberg memorabilia was in his possession, of which the most priceless items of the Delzenbach-Bohner collection are still in the family today."
- translated passage from Tuchmann Stammbaum und Chronik (1928)
