Mail form Barbara (25.04.2015):

"
Greetings Tobias, I am in the process of organizing the information I have on the Reuter family. As I get it organized I will send you some documents and pictures. I have copies of the US census for various years, but that is easily accessible on ancestry.com. If you don’t have them, I will be happy to send your way. When Konrad came to the US, his name is spelled a variety of different ways. For many years, he went by Rider and will find that name. His gravesite is Reuter. I believe he came to the US via New York City, on a ship called the Ontario perhaps with is sister Elisabeth and another woman named Catherine. I have not been able to verify that nor have I been able to track down his sister. His death certificate says he died from Paralysis. I have attached a copy of his Naturalization papers signed 1856. I will send additional information as I get it organized. I believe I have a picture of him. Will look for that soon. If you have ancestry, check out the Becker family tree. One of Konrad’s daughters, Frances, married a Becker. They have a picture of her on that site.

Do know where any of the Reuters are buried in Germany? I had read somewhere that the graves are not always marked. I would appreciate copies of any documents you have available.

More to follow, Barbara"
