About Kristina Magnusdotter
Kristina came to the port of New York on 30 May 1881 from Fernabo parish, Varmland, Sweden via Goteborg, Sweden and Liverpool, England. She travelled with husband Olof Jansson Mosbeck, stepson Johan Erik Mosbeck and daughter Anna Lovisa Mosbeck. They came aboard the steamship Egypt which was owned by the National Line. From N.Y. they travelled to Redwing Minn. where on Feb. 23, 1882 Kristina gave birth to Charles William Mosbeck. By Mar., 1882 they were in Polk Co. Minn. In 1884 Anna Lovisa died in Rocksbury Township just south of Thief River Falls where the family resided. About 1902 Ole J. and Kristina moved to the Rainy River Dist. in Ont., Canada. About 1904 Kristina died and was buried in the Bergland, Ont. Cemetary.
