31Oct2023: After further confirmation with the grandson and granddaughters of Madame Lam Beow Lan, it has has come to light that the obituary published in The Straits Time on 12Sept1978 (see archive link below) has 2 corrections: (1) "Madam Leong Kam Leng" was not a daughter of hers; (2) Datuk, not Datin, Gladys Loke was the daughter of Madam Lam's sister, not her daughter but her foster daughter. Therefore, the record of "Leong Kam Leng" will now be removed from the branch of Madam Lam's family tree.

19Sep2023: It is understood that Madam Lam was born and lived in the Chung Siew Yin Building opposite to the Esplanade, next to Bank Negara. Later, she moved to Cantonment Road until her passing. It is more likely that the Dato Kramat Road location (indicated below) was land owned by the family at the time and there were a lot of those scenarios during that era.
