About LCpl. Stanley Richard McIsaac
Stanley Richard McIsaac was the son of Richard Dick McIsaac (1860-1939) and Catherine McIsaac (nee Kennedy) (1866-1934) of Renwicktown, Marlborough, South Island, New Zealand. He served in Gallipoli during World War I. Stanley suffered from Appendicitis and was admitted to the hospital ship Gascon on 23 June 1915. He was wounded in action in France on 25 September 1916 and admitted to the No. 1 Canadian General Hospital at Étaples where he died of his wounds on 11 October 1916. Stanley was buried in the Étaples Military Cemetery (bio by Debbie McCauley on 25 Apr 2022).
