LaMarr Earl Scofield, 91, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday February 28, 2012.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel, where visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. will officiate.
Survivors include his children; Larry (Sheryl) Scofield of Stone City, Iowa, Nancy (Richard) Daywitt of Palo, Iowa, Dennis (Roxanne) Scofield of Shueyville, Iowa and Rick (Amy) Scofield of The Villages, Florida, Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and a great great grandchild. Also surviving are the Zimmerman brothers and sisters and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Berniece Scofield, a daughter, Janet Scofield and a brother, Laverne Scofield.
LaMarr was born on September 19, 1920 in Julesburg, Colorado, the son of Earl and Emma Hennessy Scofield. He married Berniece Zimmerman on September 10, 1941 in Cedar Rapids.
LaMarr was employed at Kings Concrete and was a long time member of Teamsters Local #238. He enjoyed gambling, traveling and he loved to dance with Berniece. He also loved the special friends he made from Keystone Cedars. LaMarr proudly served in the Army during World War II.
