Lady Catherine Buxton (Gurney) was born in 1814. Her parents were Samuel Gurney and Elizabeth Gurney (Sheppard).
Catherine married Sir Edward North Buxton, 2nd Bt. on April 12, 1836 in Norwich,,Norfolk,England.
Together they had the following children:
- Sir Thomas Fowell Buxton, 3rd Baronet;
- Samuel Gurney Buxton;
- Edward North Buxton;
- Francis William Buxton;
- Laura Priscilla Buxton;
- Sarah Eveleyn Buxton.
She died on August 11, 1911.
