First Marriage

According to the late William A, Lindsay, sometime Windsor Herald, writing in his account of Lindsay, Earl of Crawford, Lady Isobel Lundy married, as his third wife, David, eighth Earl of Crawford. The Scots Peerage III: p. 27

Second Marriage

According to the late Reverend John Anderson, writing in his account of Leslie, Earl of Rothes, Isobel Lundy was the fourth wife of Geoege, fourth Earl of Rothes. Anderson cited the unpublished Protocol Book of J. Androsoun, 43. Adv. Lib., 7.1.1. The Scots Peerage VII: p. 285

Death

A date and place of of death has not been identified for Lady Isobel Lundy. She is reported to have died before 1549, although this is not accuate. Stirnet: Lundin 3 She was alive on 10 April 1543, The Scots Peerage VII: pp. 285 but it would appear that she died before 2 February 1549-50, the date upon which her second husband, George, fourth Earl of Rothes, attempted to marry for the fifth time. 18 December 1525: Charter of confirmation by James, Archbishop of St Andrews, of a charter by David, Earl of Craufurd, to John Lindesay, son of said earl and Isobel Lundy, of the barony of Ochtermonsy and lands of Carny, Tor and "le Mure" dated 18 December 1525. 2 February 1526-27:Charter issued under the Great Seal of Scotland by which James V, King of Scots, confirms that he has given the barony of Inveraritie in the sheriffdom of Forfar, together with the customs of the Great Hospital in the burgh of Dundee, to David, Earl of Rothes and his wife Isobel Lundy. Earl David had previously resigned this barony into the hands of the king in order to obtain a new infeftment in favour of himself and his wife. David and Isobel were to hold the barony in conjunct fee and liferent, and it was to descended to their lawful male heirs, whom failing to Earl David's nearest heirs whatsoever. RMS: number 414

30 November 1528: Charter issued under the Great Seal of Scotland by which James V, King of Scots, confirms that he has relased in feu ferme, the lands of Rathulit, with the astricted multures of the mill thereof, together with the lands of Murdocarny and Stare in the lordship and sheriffdom of Fife, to David, Ear of Crawford, and his wife Lady Isobelle Lundy. These lands were to be held by Earl David and Lady Isobelle in conjunct fee and liferent, and by their lawful male heirs in heritage, who failing by William Lindsay and his lawful male heirs. William Lindsay is said to be the son of Earl David, procreated between him and Lady Kathering Stirling. RMS: number 711

4 January 1529-30: Charter issued under the Great Seal of Scotland by which James V, King of Scots, confirms that he has released the lands of Rathulit in feu ferme to David, Earl of Crawford, and his wife Lady Isobelle Lundy, which land is to be held by them and the longest liver of them, and by their son John Lindsay and his male heirs heritably, whom failing by his senior female heirs. 10 March 1538-39: Charter issued under the Great Seal of Scotland by which James V, King of Scotland, confirms that David, Earl of Crawford, with the consent of his wife Lady Isobelle Lundy, has sold the lands of Newtoun and Bagarscho in the barony of Inveraritie and sheriffdom of Forfar to William Bonar of Rossy. Earl David's charter in favour of Rossy was issued at Edinburgh on 9 March 1538. RMS: number 1936

12 March 1538: Charter issued under the Great Seal of Scotland by which James V, King of Scots, confirms possession of the demesne lands of Downy and the lands of Corlongy, located in the barony of Downy and sheriffdom of Forfar, to Sir Thomas Erskine of Brechin. These lands had been given to Sir Thomas by David, Earl of Crawford, and his wife Lady Isobelle Lundy, in exchange for the lands of Newbigging, Muredrum Oxgang, one third part of the lands of Dunfynd, in the barony of Downy, and the lands of Braktillo in the barony of Inveraritie. 10 September 1541: Charter issued under the Great Seal of Scotland by which James V, King of Scots, confirms that he has given a feu charter for the lands of Rathulit and others in the lordship and sheriffdom of Fife to David, Earl of Crawford, and his wife Lady Isobelle Lundy. James IV, King of Scots, had previously set this land in rental to Earl David's father, Sir Alexander Lindsay of Ouchtermonsy, afterwards Earl of Crawford. This land was to be held in conjunct fee and liferent by Earl David and Lady Isobelle, and by any of Earl David's male heirs and assignees whatsoever, whom failing by his senior female heir: Tenend. dictis Davidi et Is. et eorum alteri diutius viventi in conjuncta infeodatione, et heredibus masculis dicti Davidis et eorum assignatis quibuscumque, quibus deficientibus, seniori heredum fem". 28 September 1541: Charter issued under the Great Seal of Scotland by which James V, King of Scots, confirms that he has quitclaimed the barony of Inveraritie and other lands in favour of Lady Isobelle Lundy, wife of David, Earl of Crawford, all of which had previously been resigned by David, Earl of Crawford. The barony of Inveraritie and the other lands conveyed were to be held by Lady Isobelle during her lifetime, and after her death by Earl David and his heirs, successors or assignees: "Tenend. dicte Is. in vitali redditu, et post ejus decessum dicto Dav., heredibus ejus, successoribus et assignatis reversuras". 16 October 1541: Charter issued under the Great Seal of Scotland by which James V, King of Scots, confirms possession of various lands to David Lindsay of Adzell, all of which had previously been resigned by David, Earl of Crawford. The earl reserved his own liferent and the terce of his wife Lady Isobell Lundy: "Reservatis libero tenemento dicto com., et rationabili tertia Domine Lsobelle Lundy ejus conjugi, cum ejus vitali redditu terrarum et baronie de Inverarite, terrarum dominicalium et maneriei de Downy, terrarum de Corlongy, ville de Jurdanstoun, villc de Baltroddy cum ejus molendino, ct dicti hospitii in Dunde; et dicto comiti privilegio tenendi curias, donandi beneficia, intrandi libere tenentes".
