Lady Fielding is the daughter of William Fielding, Earl of Denbigh. She married James Hamilton, third Marquess of Hamilton in 1620. The Scots Peerage IV: 378 She died on 10 May 1638. NRS: GD112/39/66/10
16 May 1638: Archibald Campbell [of Glencarradale], Culros, to the laird of Glenurchy. Sends a letter, the outside written and signed by the Treasurer, and the inside by Lord Lorne; expects them both in Edinburgh either that night or the next day; the Treasurer has cleared himself of accusations against him; the bishop of St Andrews is gone to Bath and "the rest of that crew are cuming downe I hoipe in god with small contentment," the Marquess of Hamilton was expected in Edinburgh but he may be delayed by the death of his lady [Margaret Fielding, died 10 May 1638]; James Prymrois has a daughter about to be married - he asks for some venison and wildfowl for the marriage; burial of the laird of Alwas, whose death is much regretted by all honest men.
