About Lady Mary Brabazon
Said to be wife of Rev William Tisdall but this is incorrect. Mary died unmarried. Her death notice said 'Last Sunday se'nnight died at her Lodgings in Nottingham, the Lady Mary Brabazon, eldest Sister to the Right Hon. the Earl of Meath, of the Kingdom of Ireland:; and on Friday Night last her corpse was interr'd.' Source:- Derby Mercury 12 January 1737.
The memorial in St Mary's says that she was buried next to her father.
Her very good friend Margaret Midleton survived her by many years. 'Mrs. Margaret Middleton, who died at her house in Bridlesmith Gate, was the youngest daughter of Sir Hugh Middleton, fourth Baronet . She had lived in Nottingham for eighty years, being supported by an annuity from the New River Company in London, and her remains were interred near (or probably in the same vault with) those of Lady Mary Brabazon with whom she had been intimately acquainted, in the chancel of St. Mary's Church. Her gravestone, now in the south aisle, is inscribed "M.B. 1737.8. In memory of Ms Margaret Middleton who died 6"1 day of July 1778 Aged 100 Years.' ( St Mary's Nottingham, Phillimore's notes?)
In various peerages Mary is married to Rev William Tisdall. This is NOT correct.
