Stirnet's "Stanley02" page does not mention this, Mary. http://www.genealogy.com/forum/surnames/topics/hardy/4640/ indicates that the early recorded generations of the Hardy family (including this Mary and her husband John) are fictional.

From an anecdotal source, she was of royal blood descended from King Edward

She was born Abt. 1500 in Knockin, Shropshire, England, and died 1543.
