About Lady Maud de Haversham
Heiress
Maud de Havasham
"... Haversham was afterwards in the hands of an ancient family, who took their name from the village. Robert de Haversham had the manor in the 22nd of Henry II. (1175). Nicholas de Haversham died in 1273, seised of the manor of Haversham which he held of the King in capite, of the Honour of Peverell. He left issue, Maud, sole daughter and heir, aged one half year; and who afterwards married Sir James de la Plaunche, Knt., who presented to Haversham Rectory in 1291, and had license to fortify his house. His death occurred in 1306, and his widow married secondly, Sir John de Olney, who presented the Rector in 131 I. By the first marriage, Maud had issue, John, who died young; Sir William de la Plaunche, Knt, who presented to the church in 1333; and Joan, who married John de Pabenham. ..."
