About Lady Victoria Grenfell

Lady Victoria Sybil Mary Grey was born on 9 June 1878.2 She was the daughter of Albert Henry George Grey, 4th Earl Grey and Alice Holford.1 She married Lt.-Col. Arthur Morton Grenfell, son of Pascoe du Pré Grenfell and Sophia Grenfell, on 23 July 1901.2 She died on 3 February 1907 at age 28.2

    Her married name became Grenfell.

Lady Victoria and her mother Countess Grey (arrived Rhodesia in 1896); daughter and wife of Earl Grey, lived in the country most of the time that he was Administrator. They joined Rhodes' camp at the second Matopos Peace Indaba, and spent ten days there; they were also at the third Indaba on 9th September, 1896. Early in December of that year the countess and her daughter returned to England. See pp. 113,114 and 143 of”The World's View,” by Nora S. Kane.
