About Lars W Olson
Came to America, from Sweden, with parents and siblings as members of the Rev. L. P. Esbjorn's party in 1849. One hundred and forty six emigrants sailed from Gavle, on the "Cobden", which has been called the "Mayflower" of the Augustana Synod by historian 1849.
When his father died, folowing the Swedish tradition, he changed his name by adding son to his fathers name; Lars Larsson became Lars W Olson.
