About Latham Avery, Sr.
It is probable that he was in Capt. Joseph Morgan's company that marched to the relief of Fort William Henry in the summer of 1757 (French and Indian War Rolls, 1:197). He was one of the proprietors of the Susquehanna company. Latham Avery and wife owned the covenant in the First Church of Groton, Sept. 20, 1763.
