About Laura M Decker
Funeral services will be 11:00AM Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in St. Cloud for Laura Decker who died Saturday at the Country Manor Health Care Center in Sartell. The Rev. Al Stangl will officiate and burial will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Waite Park. Friends and relatives may call from 4-8PM on Tuesday and 1 hour prior to services on Wednesday at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in St. Cloud. There will be a prayer service on Tuesday evening at 5PM.
Laura was born in Lynden Township to John & Susan (Mueller) Weyrauch. She married Raymond Decker on November 29, 1945 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Pearl Lake. Laura was a resident of Waite Park from 1948 until she moved to the Country Manor in 2001. She is a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waite Park where she was active in the Christian Mothers. Laura enjoyed spending time quilting and playing cards with her family and friends. In her earlier years she and Ray enjoyed square dancing and making carpets with their rug making machine.
Survivors include her children, Lloyd (Nancy) of St. Cloud; Darlene (Bruce) Lommel of Aurora, CO; Robert (Pam) of Sartell; Mary (Richard) Johnson of Big Lake; Ronald (Mary) of St. Cloud; Maggie (Robert) Voigt of St. Cloud; Duane (Rose) of Sartell; daughter in law, Diane Decker of Cold Spring; son in law, Joseph Schwegel of St. Cloud;25 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Raymond in 1991, daughter, Doris Schwegel in 2003, son, LeRoy in 2013, brother, Albert Weyrauch and a grandson.
Special thank you to the staffs at St. Croix Hospice and the Country Manor in Sartell for their special care given to Laura.
