• Laura studerade pianospel för professor Anton Door i Wien och komposition för Charles-Marie Widor i Paris. Arbetade som dirigent och körledare för flera orkestrar och körer. Under 10 års tid gav hon tillsammans med andra musiker billighetskonserter för arbetare i Stockholm. Anordnade också välgörenhetskonserter för insamlingen till Skansen i Stockholm. Deltog i stiftandet av Barnsjukhuset Samariten och för Asylen för husvilla kvinnor i Stockholm.
• Konserter i Berlin, Liège, Paris och London samt i Danmark förutom i Stockholm.
• Av trycket utgett 72 musikverk bl.a. "Oscar II:s Fantasie". Använde signaturen Lago, då det för tiden ansågs opassande att kvinnor utgav egna arbeten offentligt i eget namn.
• Erhöll utmärkelserna 'Les Palmes Academiques, Paris och Turkiska Chéfaktat-orden.
• Gift 1866 med Nils Wilhelm Netzel.
• Laura Constance Netzel née Pistolekors (1 March 1839 — 10 February 1927) was a Finnish-born Swedish composer, pianist, conductor and concert organizer who sometimes used the pseudonym N. Lago. She was born in Rantasalmi, Finland, and was proud of her Finnish heritage throughout her life, even though she was just one year old when she moved permanently to Stockholm. Netzel studied piano with Mauritz Gisiko and Anton Door, voice with Julius Günther and composition with Wilhelm Heinze in Stockholm and Charles-Marie Widor in France.
• Netzel was active in social causes, including support for poor women, children and workers. In 1866 she married professor Wilhelm Netzel of the Karolinska Institute. She died in Stockholm.
