Note: In the case of Lawrence Settle, the name of his wife is unknown, but both of his brothers, Robert and Henry made provision in their wills for Willm son of Lawrence Settle. In the will of Henry, he referred to 'my nephew, Willm Steele, the sonne of Lawrence Settle. Since the reference to the nephew in the will of Robert settle refers to William Setle, 'son of Lawrence Settle, it seems apparent that the spelling of the surname of the nephew in the will of Henry Settle was in error
