About Lauretta Roundy Beck

Lauretta Roundy Beck (1821-1907) - Lauretta Roundy, daughter of Shadrach Roundy (1788 - 1872) and Betsey Quimby (1793 - 1880), was born 26 September 1821 at Spafford, Onondaga County, New York; she died at age 86 on 18 October 1907 at Livermore, Alameda County, California; and was buried at Centerville Pioneer Cemetery, Plot #23, Fremont, Alameda County, California. She was 19 when she married David Henry Hauer Beck (1819 - 1898), son of John Christian Beck and Magdalene Ahl Beck, on 25 April 1841 at Nauvoo, Hancock County, Illinois; they had ten known children.

Lauretta and David Beck and their four eldest children emigrated to Utah in 1850; the family then continued to California between June 1857 and September 1859, settling in Livermore.
