The other four divisions were the Chalahgawtha, Mekoche, Kispoko, and Hathawekela. Together these divisions formed the loose confederacy that was the Shawnee tribe.

Straight Tail aka Meaurroway - Pekowi. He was born about 1630 in Ohio and died 1709 in PA. He was the husband in 1650 of a Pekowi Woman who had been born about 1635.

Wife in 1686 or1687 in Illinois of Martin Chartier adopted French.
Wife in 1676 of Martin Chartier adopted French.
Martin Chartier was born 1655 in France and died 1718 in Pennsylvania. He arrived in America in 1677 with his father, Rene, a brother, Peter, and a sister. He deserted in Ohio while on expedition to Illinois Territory.

• 9. Daughter Straight Tail born 1680 IL and died after 1720. She was the wife of Tamenebuck-Corn Blade Cornstalk.

Opessa Straight Tail was born 1664 and died after 1760. His first wife was Margaret Pekowi, who had been born about 1670 and died 1710 in Maryland. Their children were: '* 1. Children Opessa 1685-1684

• 2. Snow White Opessa born 1695 Cecil County, MD and died 1737 PA. She was the namesake of her aunt, Snow White Straight Tail. She was the wife of Peter Chartier who had been born about 1690.

• 6. Metheotashe-Mary Opessa born 1738 or 1740 in Alabama and died 1789 in Missouri. Her first husband was Pukenshinwah . She was the mother of Tecumseh, the aunt of Tecumoplas Margaret Collins and great-aunt of Jane Collins. Her daughter, Tecumapease , is often confused with her sisters and nieces by some white histories.
