Lawrence Gordon Redden Sr., 92, of the 1400 block of Boxwood Drive, died Oct. 24, 2003 in Portsmouth.

A native of Jackson, Miss., he was retired from the U.S. Navy and Oceana Naval Air Station and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and Korea. He was a member of Brent-Lox Baptist Church.

He was predeceased by a son, Carl Redden.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Wayne Underwood. Contributions may be made to Brent-Lox Baptist Church or to the American Heart Association. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, is in charge.
