Leaston Lamar Spears ST. MARKS - Leaston Lamar Spears, 60, passed away Monday, May 4, 2009, in St. Marks, Florida. He had lived in this area his entire life. He was a Christian, loved to work and would help anybody anytime. He loved his motorcydes and muscle cars. He was the owner of Spears Small Engines in Crawfordville. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. EDT Tuesday, May 12, at New Light Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. EDT Monday, May 11, at Harvey-Young Funerai Home in Crawfordville (850-926-3333). He is survived by one son, David Leaston Spears of Crawfordville; one brother, Robert Gary Spears of Crawfordville; two sisters, Marilyn Jean Spears Moore (and husband Ray E.) of St. Marks, Nellie Spears Tully of Panama City (and husband Robert M. Tully of Crawfordville); two grandchildren, Hailey Daniel Spears and Leaston Dale Spears of Crawfordville; the mother of his son, Betty Ann Grimes; loving parents, John and Norma Whiddon; and many other family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Leaston Laston Spears and Doris Ruth Peavy Spears, and brother Namon Laston Spears.
