- Lee's death information are noted in his obituary in The New York Times, Monday, Septembver 24, 1962, page 29. "Mr. Bristol was one of three sons of William McLaren Bristol, who founded Bristol-Myers in 1887 with John Ripley Myers. The concern was then a small drugstore in Clinton, N.Y. Mr. Bristol's father incorporated it in Brooklyn 13 years later."

- He was born on 11 November 1892 in Syracuse, New York, and his father, William M. Bristol, was born in Clinton, New York and was currently residing in Brooklyn, New York.
- His permanent address was 30 Middagh Street, Brooklyn, New York.
- He wanted a passport to visit England on business (for the Bristol-Myers Company) and France for pleasure, by departing from the Port of New York aboard the S.S. Paris on 25 April 1925.
- He was 32 years old; stood 5-feet, 11-inches high; had a medium forehead, gray eyes, an aquiline nose, a straight mouth, a round chin, brown hair, a fair complexion, and an oval face, with a small scar at the top of his forehead, right of center.
