LeeAnn Wyatt Wheeler, 66, of Idaho Falls, passed away February 3, 2016, at her home.
She was born September 26, 1949, in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Lewis Leavitte Wyatt and Viola Cunningham Wyatt. She grew up in the Osgood area on her father’s farm and later moved to Idaho Falls where her father managed the Tautphaus Park Zoo. She graduated from Bonneville High School and later attended King Lawrence Beauty College.
On May 24, 1969, she married Timothy John Wheeler in Idaho Falls. They lived in Shelley for 25 years and then moved to Idaho Falls. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on June 6, 1970. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She worked at Shelley Senior Citizen Center for 5 years and was a trainer at Deseret Industries for 25 years, retiring in 2014.
LeeAnn was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as a Primary Teacher, Sunday School Teacher, and as a missionary at Deseret Industries after retiring. She enjoyed fishing, camping, cooking, sewing, flowers, and gardening, especially straw bales and box gardens.
Survivors are:
Husband: Timothy Wheeler, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Michael Timothy (Amy) Wheeler, Rigby, ID Daughter: Elesa LeeAnn (Brandon) Atchley, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Misty Rose (Dave Saunders) Wheeler, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Jesse Hardy (Samantha) Wheeler, Danvers, IL Son: Kaycee Ryon (Stefanie) Wheeler, Haslet, TX Brother: Sherrol Landon, Ucon, ID Sister: Marlene Quinn, Lewisville, ID Sister: Evelyne Klingler, Rexburg, ID Sister: Dorthy Odekirk, Farmington, UT 18 Grandchildren and 1 great grandchild with two on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, LJ Wyatt; a sister, Anita Webster; and a nephew, John Wyatt.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2016, at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge). The family will visit with friends on Friday from 6:30-8 p.m. and on Saturday from 1-1:45 p.m, both at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery near Shelley, Idaho.
